In the matter of the wallet

Articles of the Association

  1. Article I. Of the Wallet

    1. The wallet is sovereign. No person may enter it on another's behalf.
    2. A member's balance is his own information, and he is under no obligation to disclose it, particularly to a person who is about to ask for something.
    3. The phrase “you have money” is an assertion, not evidence, and carries no weight before the Registry.
  2. Article II. Of Rounds and Their Rotation

    1. A round, once begun, must complete. A member who benefits from a round is thereafter within the rotation, whether or not he agreed to join it.
    2. A member who arrives at the moment the final round is served has not joined the rotation. He has joined the group.
    3. No member may leave a venue during another member's round. This is the gravest offence recognised by the Association.
  3. Article III. Of the Last Bite

    1. The last bite belongs to the person who paid.
    2. Where the bill was split, the last bite belongs to the person who suggested the venue.
    3. Where neither applies, the last bite is left on the plate, and the matter is closed.
  4. Article IV. Of Airtime, Data and Charging

    1. Airtime sent is airtime gifted. The Association does not recognise the concept of an airtime loan.
    2. A charger lent is a charger surrendered.
    3. A power bank may be lent only against collateral of equal or greater sentimental value.
  5. Article V. Of Weddings, Introductions and Contributions

    1. A pledge is a figure stated by the pledging member himself, aloud.
    2. Attendance at a committee meeting is attendance at a meeting, and nothing further.
    3. No member may be listed in a printed programme without having seen the printed programme.
  6. Article VI. Of Transport

    1. The owner of a vehicle is not a public service, and his fuel gauge is not a shared resource.
    2. “Drop me somewhere” is not a destination.
    3. Where a member gives a lift, the passenger holds the responsibility of conversation for the full duration of the journey.
  7. Article VII. Of Amendments

    1. This Constitution may be amended only by unanimous consent of the Council.
    2. A motion to amend must be accompanied by a receipt.
    3. No amendment has ever been carried.
